IRSC’s Culinary “Krewe” Celebrates Mardi Gras!

Join the Culinary Arts “Krewe” at Indian River State College for a Fat Thursday Feast! On Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 6 p.m., the students of The Culinary Institute at IRSC will prepare delicious Cajun cuisine items such as Crawfish Boil, Jambalaya, Red Beans & Rice, and more! Demonstrate Your Skills in Competition

The IRSC Culinary Institute competes in regional Culinary Arts Competitions. In addition, the Institute sponsors local culinary competitions for Treasure Coast high schools in Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee, and St. Lucie counties.

Any competition proceeds are donated to the IRSC Foundation Culinary Scholarship. The scholarship is designed to benefit students who are currently enrolled in the culinary/restaurant management programs at IRSC, have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher, and have demonstrated their commitment to professionalism and community involvement.

New Culinary Management AS Degree!

The Culinary Institute at IRSC now offers a new CULINARY MANAGEMENT AS Degree. The new degree is designed to effectively build culinary as well as foodservice management skills for students. This new Associate of Science degree provides students with the opportunity to choose a stronger background in the culinary arts. Staff and faculty are working with currently enrolled students that wish to transition from their current degree track to the new AS degree eliminating or minimizing any interruption in their progress.
