Demonstrate Your Skills in Competition

The IRSC Culinary Institute competes in regional Culinary Arts Competitions. In addition, the Institute sponsors local culinary competitions for Treasure Coast high schools in Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee, and St. Lucie counties.

Our next scheduled competition will be our annual Gingerbread Competition in December 2013. There are four entry categories: Amateur, High School student, College student, and Professional. Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded in each category as well as a “Best of Show” designation. There is no fee for entry. The Gingerbread Houses entered into the competition will be auctioned off and all of the proceeds are donated to the IRSC Foundation Culinary Scholarship. The scholarship is designed to benefit students who are currently enrolled in the culinary/restaurant management programs at IRSC, have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher and have demonstrated their commitment to professionalism and community involvement.
